Nazi Occupation Monument Budapest

A controversal monument that was created in 2014 despite of months of protests. People felt that the statue was a forgery of history. It portrays Hungary as a passive victim of the Nazis, even though Hungary willingly deported close to a half a million Jewish people in World War II. The memorial had to be erected under the cover of darkness one early summer morning.
